Despite the many improvements in PerfectTablePlan, we haven’t changed our prices since 2009. 2009! In the UK, where we are based, there has been 55% inflation since then. So we are finally, reluctantly, raising our prices. This will start with prices switching from including VAT/sales tax to plus VAT/sales tax from 01-Dec-2024.
For example:
If you live in the UK, where VAT is 20%, a new Advanced edition licence will go from £49.95 inc VAT to £49.95 + VAT = £59.94.
If you live in a US state where sales tax is 8%, a new Advanced edition licence will go from $74.95 inc sales tax to $74.95 + sales tax = $80.95.
If you live somewhere that has no VAT or sales tax (lucky you) the price won’t change for you in December.
A further price rise is also likely in 2025.
The price changes will affect upgrades, as well as new licences. So now might be a good time to buy your upgrade to v7, if you haven’t done so already. Or to buy additional licences.
Licences already purchased are unaffected by any forthcoming price changes.
Haven’t watched our v7 improvements video yet?
We have made a 13 minute video with a quick tour of some of the many improvements in PerfectTablePlan v7. We recommend you watch it, whether you are already using v7 or are considering upgrading to v7.

It should now be possible to use PerfectTablePlan on Windows 11 PCs with ARM (as opposed to Intel) processors. Let us know if you have any problems with this.
We posted a poll on LinkedIn to find out how event professionals assign their seating. Depressingly (but entirely predictably) the winner was Excel. Clearly, we still have a lot of work to do on the marketing front.
Remember, friends don’t let friends use Excel for seating plans!
