Windows installation troubleshooting
|

|
|
Try reading the step-by-step instructions for download, install and start-up, if you haven’t already done so.
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
“The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program.” appears when I try to run the installer
This is probably an error occurring during the download, rather than a problem with our file. Try the following (easiest listed first).
- Use the (alternate download server) link here to download from our backup server. Or;
- Download and install PerfectTablePlan using a different web browser. For example if the problem occurred with Internet Explorer try using Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or Opera instead. Or;
- Download the PerfectTablePlan installer on a different Windows computer and either install it there or transfer it across to your original computer (e.g. using a memory stick, CD or shared folder). Or;
- Delete the corrupt copy cached by your browser and then download again. For Internet Explorer: click on Tools, then Internet Options, then under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files… (NB/ the user interface might be slightly different on different versions of IE). Then try downloading the installer again.

“Internal error:Failed to expand shell folder constant "userdocs".” appears part way through running the installer
The installer cannot find your “Documents” folder to install sample plans and stationery templates into. You can fix this my restoring your default Windows “Documents” folder. If this isn’t convenient contact us and ask for a zip file.

“This installation cannot be opened” appears when I try to run the installer
If you get an error like this:
This installation cannot be opened. Contact application vendor to verify this is a valid windows installation package.
it may be due to a browser bug, especially if you are using an old version of the Netscape or AOL browser. Try downloading PerfectTablePlan with a recent version of Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Safari or Opera.

“This program appears to be damaged/corrupted. Please re-install. If the problem persists please email support@perfecttableplan.com” appears when I try to run the installed program
