How to create a screen capture

To create a screen capture on Windows

  1. Bring the PerfectTablePlan window to the front.
  2. On your keyboard hold down the Alt key and press the Print Scrn key, the screen capture should now be in the 'clipboard' (memory).
  3. Start up Microsoft Paint ( access from the Windows Start button via Accessories>Paint).
  4. In Microsoft Paint select Edit>Paste, the screen capture should now be pasted into Paint.
  5. Select File>Save as to save the screen capture to a GIF or JPEG file.

To create a screen capture on Mac OS X

  1. Press Cmd+Shift+3 to create a screenshot of your whole desktop called 'picture 1.png' (or similar) on your desktop

Or:

  1. Use Mac Finder to start Applications/Utilities/Grab.App
  2. In the Grab menu bar select Capture>Window
  3. Bring the PerfectTablePlan window to the front
  4. Click on the Choose Window button in the Window grab window
  5. Click on the PerfectTablePlan window, the screen capture should now appear in a new Grab window
  6. Select File>Save as to save the screen capture to a TIFF file
  7. Double click on the TIFF file to open it in Preview (or other graphics application)
  8. Select File>Save as to save the screen capture to a GIF or JPEG file
