PerfectTablePlan supports a very wide range of symbols using Unicode, which is now the leading standard for encoding non-Latin character sets. However you need to have another Unicode compliant application to create the symbol and copy from. If you copy and paste from another application that isn't using Unicode (such as from Insert>Symbol in MSWord 2000) it may not work.
The simple way around this is to copy and paste the symbol from your web browser to PerfectTablePlan. For example copy the symbol from this page:
http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/entities/symbols.html
and paste it into PerfectTablePlan. We have tested this with recent versions of both IE and FireFox browsers and it works fine, but older AOL and Netscape browsers may have problems. Just be careful not to paste in unwanted characters (such as ‘end of line’ characters).
