If your guest data contains non-ASCII characters (e.g. Chinese or Russian characters) you need to save it in a form that supports Unicode (UTF-8 or UTF-16) characters. E.g. save it from Excel as UTF-16 Unicode Text rather than Comma Separated Values. PerfectTablePlan should then be able to import it. This seems to be particularly a problem with the Mac version of Excel.
