If you already have guest information in Microsoft Outlook™ you can import it, rather than re-typing it.
Note The user interface of Outlook may differ between different versions.
Method 1: Drag and drop
1. | Start Microsoft Outlook (we can accept no liability for you installing or using third party software). |
2. | Select Tools>Address book to display the Outlook Address Book window. |
3. | Select one or more guests in the Address Book window. |
4. | Drag the guests to the PerfectTablePlan Guests pane or Groups pane. |
Note You can easily rearrange guests into groups afterwards by dragging guests between groups in the PerfectTablePlan Groups pane.
Method 2: Import CSV file

10. | Navigate to the Outlook export file and click the Open button. The Import Data window will appear |
11. | In the table select First name(s) in the drop-down for the column with the first name and Last name(s) in the drop-down for the column with the last name. You can also choose other guest properties as appropriate. |
12. | Edit the text in the preview as appropriate. |
13. | Click the OK button. The guests will now be added to the plan. |
If you wish to import guests as couples, families and/or groups you need to:
1. | Have a groups column in your spreadsheet. |
2. | Use the same name in the group column for each person in the couple, family or group. |
3. | Make this column the Group field during import. |
These guests will then be placed in the same group with the proximity you have selected in the Proximity for guests in same group drop-down list. You can easily change the proximity by right clicking on the group and selecting the appropriate proximity later.
