Perfect Table Plan - create a table seating plan for your wedding or event

PerfectTablePlan v4.2.3

This release adds new enhancements and bug fixes to version 4.2.2. You will require a version 4 licence key to unlock the full functionality. You can buy a licence key here (or upgrade from a previous version here). This upgrade is free to all customers with a valid v4 licence key.

We recommend that you back-up any important plan files before installing any new release.

The download links are at the bottom of the page.

Backward/forward compatibility

This version can read plan (.tp) files saved by any earlier version of PerfectTablePlan. But reading 4.2.3 plans into versions of the software before 4.2.0 may lose some data.

System requirements

PerfectTablePlan runs on Windows 2000 or later and Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. More detailed system requirements are here.

The following enhancements have been made since version 4.2.2:

Windows and Macintosh

All editions

1. A warning now appears on start-up if you are using a temporary key that has 3 or less days remaining. [Added in v4.2.3]
2. A ‘getting the most out of PerfectTablePlan’ web page now appears the first time you exit a newly installed version of PerfectTablePlan.
3. Various minor usability improvements. [Added in v4.2.3]

Bug fixes

The following bug fixes have been made since version 4.2.2:

Windows and Macintosh

All editions

1. Some typos in the documentation have been fixed. [Fixed in v4.2.3]

2. The height of the Insert couple, Insert family and Insert group windows will adjust where necessary so that the buttons are accessible on an 800x600 pixel display. Thank you to Janet for reporting this. [Fixed in v4.2.3]

Advanced edition only

3. If you created a plan with non-standard seat numbering the seat numbering was lost when you read the plan back in. This is now fixed. Thank you to Diana and Vallery for reporting this. [Fixed in v4.2.3]

Known issues

The following are known issues in this version:

Macintosh only

1. If you set View>User interface>Expert with User interface style set to Unified toolbar and titlebar in the Preferences window, you may not be able to resize the Main window as small as you would like. You can reduce the problem by unchecking tool bar text and large tool bar icons in the Preferences window. Or you can avoid it altogether by setting User interface style to Standard in the Preferences window. This appears to be a bug in an underlying third party library. We hope it will be fixed soon.
