PerfectTablePlan v3.0.8
This release adds bug fixes and minor new features to v3.0.2. You will require a version 3 licence key to unlock the full functionality.
We recommend that you back-up any important plan files before installing any new release.

Backward/forward compatibility
3.0.8 can read plan (.tp) files saved by any earlier version of PerfectTablePlan.
Reading 3.0.8 plans into versions of the software before 3.0.0 may lose some data (e.g. relating to stationery).

Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made since version 3.0.2:
Windows and Macintosh
1. A standard convention for displaying names is to display the guests's name and title on the first line, followed by their role in italics on the second line. You can do this in PerfectTablePlan by using ** in the Display name field to separate the two lines. For example:

The substitution fields {guest_display_name**1} and {guest_display_name**2} can be used to display the parts of the Display name field before and after the ** separately in the Stationery pane.
You can use ** in the table Name field in the same way. [Added in 3.0.3]

2. Carriage returns within quotes can now be handled when importing CSV files. [Added in 3.0.6]
3. The seat number is now displayed when hovering over a seat in the Floor plan or Table plan panes. [Added in 3.0.8]

Bug fixes
The following bug fixes have been made since version 3.0.2:
Windows and Macintosh
1. In previous v3 releases it was sometimes possible to get guest seat assignment into an inconsistent state (e.g. guest shown as assigned in the Floor plan pane and unassigned in the Guests pane) by resizing a table smaller. Reloading the plan fixed the problem. This bug is now fixed. Thanks to Charlotte for reporting this bug. [Fixed in 3.0.4]
2. PerfectTablePlan no longer crashes if it thinks you were printing to a page that is 0 pixels x 0 pixels in size. [Fixed in 3.0.4]
3. It took a long time for the Export data window to appear for plans with large groups. This problem has been fixed by performance improvements and by only previewing the first 20 records. [Fixed in 3.0.7]
4. The Assigned column in the Guests pane is now sorted more intelligently e.g. ‘Table 2’ is now sorted before ‘Table 11’ (it would be after in a strictly lexical ordering). [Fixed in 3.0.8]
5. You can now export the Floor plan or Table plan panes when there are no guests. [Fixed in 3.0.8]
6. PerfectTablePlan no longer crashes if the Floor plan or Table plan planes are printed when there are no tables (Print is now disabled in this case). [Fixed in 3.0.8]

Known issues
The following are known issues in version 3.0.8:
Windows and Macintosh
1. In version 2 it was possible to add headers and footers in the Print window. This approach didn’t work well and has been removed. Headers and footers can now be added ‘properly’ in the Table chart and Guest chart panes. We haven’t yet been able to add headers and footers for the Floor plan and Table plan panes. This is currently planned for version 3.1.
Windows only
1. If you uninstall version 2 after installing version 3 it may remove the associations between PerfectTablePlan and .tp files and remove the themes data file. You can fix this by re-installing version 3 again. This shouldn’t affect your plan files, but you should back-up important plan files first anyway.
